Investigative Internet Training workshop 2012

Lightning has struck me twice this year for I have gotten a second opportunity to attend another training from VIKES and MISA Tanzania. This time I am attending an Investigative Internet Training workshop. The training workshop has the aim of helping me practice more investigative fact-finding procedures and to produce and develop journalist stories based on the research from resources in the internet.

The workshop has brought together journalists from different media houses as well as trainers from a number of universities. My expectation of the workshop is learning new and interesting techniques on investigative journalism as well as network. During introductions, one of the participants, Mr Simon Berege from Tumaini University said that he hoped that at the end of the workshop he would be able to develop Wikileaks kind of reporting, that I personally found intriguing. My belt is fastened and I am ready to go to the world beyond.
